About
Annette Nagle is a freelance photographer from Altoona, Pennsylvania. She is seventeen years old and has about six years of freelance experience in photography. She is homeschooled and often comments that homeschooling has helped Annette to cultivate her abilities and God given talent in photography. She has always been interested photos, even from infancy. But most important of all, she is a Christian and is very proud of giving glory to God through the art of photography.
As a toddler, she would beg her mother and father to show her family photo albums. At three years old, she would excitedly turn each page and look at the family photos repetitively as if it were the first time she had ever seen the photos. This habit continued for years (And she still does sneak through the albums every once a week or so) and she dreamt about the day she could take photos with a camera herself.
When Annette was about eleven years old, her mother would permit her to grab the camera and take as many photos as she wanted (Or, as many as the floppy disk could hold). Photography became more of a permanent fixture when Annette was thirteen and she was required to take photos of her parents and of coffeehouse patrons for their music ministry, PreciousDay.
She looked into the possibility of becoming more invovled in serious photography endeavors and in the early part of 2006. Her portfolio has been built up throughout the past year and she continues to build her repertoire daily.
Annette’s other hobbies include singing, playing piano, which she has been playing collectively for eight years or so, more seriously in the past five years. She aspires to play as well as Richard Carpenter, Maksim Mrvica, Stan Whitmire and Eugene Hordesky someday. She is invovled in most capacities of the arts. Annette likes to always have something productive to do.
Her favorite artists include her mother, Vincent Van Gogh, Auguste Renoir and Claude Monet. As classical composers go, she loves Chopin, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Rachmaninov and Bach.
She is homeschooled and is currently in her junior year of highschool. She plans to continue her fine art endeavors through her last year of school and beyond as God leads. She will be among the graduating class of 2009.
The name AMeN Photography comes from Annette’s name (Annette Margaret Nagle) and her faith as a Christian Since, Amen, is always famously being end of every Christian prayer.
